If scientists genetically engineered a combination of Lana Del Rey and Zooey Deschanel to produce a multi-bred artist, Love La Femme would be it. The folk rock duo from Mexico City recently launched their single “Y Despego” that exhibits an LDR air with Deschanel’s scent. Thriving in simple guitars and tambourine taps, it feels like an adult lullaby or café song.
The music video is framed in 50s cinematic screen, with not much storyline and random classic sceneries that take turns with duo’s cameo. This retro look was all shot from an iPhone, which might remind you of watching a home video.
