British folk and soul singer, Lianne La Havas, knows how to make adult-friendly lullaby; her track “Fairytale” is a soothing croon embedded in silence that gives you naptime tranquility. Or midday transcendental meditation serenity.

“Fairytale” from her upcoming EP Blood Solo, which came out five days ago in US and will be out in two days in the US. La Havas began as backing vocals for Paloma Faith and debuted her first record Is Your Love Big Enough in 2012, which received raving reviews from critics and iTunes Album of The Year. Aiming for simplicity, La Havas often relies solely on the basic guitar-piano-bass palette and puts her vocals in the forefront of her ballads, placing her voice as the sonic engine of her work.
