Kicking it live with the Made-in-Tijuana shoegazers, Mint Field.

Thanks to serendipity, we caught the Tijauan-based shoegaze/dreampop songsmiths, Mint Field, last night alongside Porter in The Echoplex (budget-friendly venue in Los Angeles). After debuting their EP Primeras Salidas (First Exits) back in August 2014, the trio has been playing few shows around the US and Mexico. You can stream their EP below:

Their live performance is a bass-drum affair that leaves us suspended in a misty ambience of synthair where the hushy howls of Estrella Sánchez numbs us in a chill trance. Kudos for them for delivering computer-free raw performance and nailing the guitar:

We semi-kept our promise of buying them pizza if they ever hit LA…like we did buy pizza, but minus them #ItWasTooGood
