Hailing from the city of Tromsø, Norwegian poptress, Dagny, debuted her first single “Backbeat” about six months ago and it’s one brain-sticky, endorphine inducing pop ballad that becomes more addictive as you listen to it. The jingling vocals of Dagny hovers in your ears afterwards and next thing you know you’re reciting “Backbeat, got it up pick it up and tell me if you really want to dance some more”:

We admit – Dagny nails the chorus in a rap speed and it’s what makes “Backbeat” hard to follow, but gives you a rush of exhilaration. Before launching her solo debut, Dagny had released acoustic versions of other pop hits on YouTube about four years ago. Now she has joined the hit race with her own songs. As of now Dagny is working on more music and hitting some stages in Europe:

4/28 – SPOT Festival (Aarhus, Denmark)

5/19 – The Great Escape 2016 (Brighton, UK)

6/16 – Life Festival Oswiecim 2016 (Oswiecim, Poland)
