Maybe he’s a Fruit Ninja aficionado or just wants you to eat healthy, but German electronic producer Roosevelt has been squeezing in fruit cameos in his hypnotic chillwave music videos – to the extent we think there’s some fruit placement ad going on. His new music video “Colours/Moving On” packs two funkadelic disco ballads that start off in a color-blocking set where we watch people dancing, kissing intensely, and slicing watermelon before the storyline moves on (alongside the track) to what happens once they leave the set. Both songs emit a high mind-hook frequency that keeps you nested in the howling loop of Roosevelt’s vocals:

Marius Lauber is the songsculptor behind Roosevelt, who released his EP Elliot back in October 2013 and has acquired shoutouts from blogosphere for his adroitness in crafting retro disco out of du jour electronic. “Colours” and “Moving On” are part of his debut album Roosevelt, which will come out on August 19 of this year. He has gigs comings up in Europe:
