The Only Ocean’s “So Shy So High” Is The Xanax Rock You Need

A little bit of xanax in your atmospheric rock playlist doesn’t hurt.

Made-in-California quartet, The Only Ocean, gives a chill polish to the rock territory with their laid-back, dreamy layers of percussions in their newest single “So Shy So High.” Sprayed with echoing choruses that blend with the fuzzy tune, the track feels like slow-motioned flight to Xanax Rock. Yup. We just made that up. XANAX ROCK. Time to chill some of your neurons:

“So Shy So High” is from their forthcoming EP, Too, which was produced by Graham Ginsburg and Rick Mabery of The Barn Music Studio, and Jonathan DeBaun (The Mars Volta, Le Butcherettes, Autemasque). Regarding their EP, the band commented “we are very excited to release this new music because it’ll give our fans a taste of the kind of direction we want to take. I feel like the new CD sounds a bit more aggressive.” We haven’t listened to the new EP yet…so go see them live and tell us:
