Let’s Get High At Jane’s Party

The indie rock party from Toronto you have to crash.

Toronto-based pop/rock quartet, Jane’s Party, have been partying together sine 2006 across bar scenes and then onstage along with other artists like Tom Oddell. Their sonic palette has a splash of folk, funk, electropop, and rock that builds up a kooky, buoyant atmosphere that you would feel if you were high at some rooftop party hosted by vegans. You feel like massacring every cruelty-free food (especially the tofu cheesecake), but at the same time a rare sense of auditory buzz sedates you to chill. It’s like your brain is hosting ADD monster and Xanax at the same time, but somehow they managed to achieve symbiosis with Jane…here’s what we mean by that:

The musical territory of Jane’s Party is one that hosts themes about nomadic life, death, adulting, and coming into terms with the occasional shittiness harshness of life. They’ve released three albums and one EP so far, their latest being Tunnel Visions, which they dropped this year. They are on tour now, so go party with them.
