King Washington’s “My Reflection” Is The Meditative Dream Rock You Need To De-Clutter Your Brain

Flush out all the shitnanigans in dreamy rock fashion.

“Please don’t judge my reflection,” chants King Washington amidst the rickety drums and shuddering chords that seem chaotic and muted at the same time. The Los Angeles-based quartet, King Washington, knows how to craft mind-massaging fuzziness out of a bedlam of folk, rock, indie clash. Their new single, “My Reflection,” discloses refreshing frontiers for their sound as they vacuum us into a dreamier and zestier space where the instrumental pulses delicately propel us to unwind with mindfulness. Yes, we are fucking high with this track:

“My Reflection” is from their upcoming record Potential, which will be released on January 27. If you don’t know who King Washington are, they are Tyson Kelly (vocals/guitar/keys), George Krikes (guitar/vocals), Billy Lee (bass/vocals), and David Contreras (drums). They all live within the 90026 zip code. Totally kidding. Maybe. BUT they are performing for FREE at The Satellite (which is in that zip code…so in LA) on Monday nights for the rest of November. Before taking residency at The Satellite, King Washington has opened for bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Ambrosia, and Collective Soul. They will be touring again after their upcoming album release, so go see them live if you live in LA and/or stalk them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
