While most people snap sunsets for their motivational quotes background, Jason Gaffner uses it as an inspiration to craft his synthrobbing, coastal pop, “When The Sun Goes Down,” that makes you wanna party like it’s summer again. And even though it’s Wednesday, fuck it. This song makes it feel like a Friday during the warm summer where you could soak into the ethereal sunsets that filled the sky with cherry whiskey smash color. And in case you wondered, Jason Gaffner is from LA…hence you can feel the coastal influences:
“I wrote ‘When The Sun Goes Down’ when I was driving on the freeway in LA and there was this crazy beautiful sunset. It really made an impact on me and I literally pulled over and started writing the song right off the freeway. It was such a powerful sunset I felt like it was almost magical outside. There’s just something about those long summer days and summer nights that make it seem like anything can happen.” shared Gaffner. “When The Sun Goes Down” is from his upcoming EP, Journeys, which will be released in January.
