If you pressed forward to the future where we are Matrix-whipped by machines, you would probably find these wireless creatures hitting the dancefloor while spinning Wild Beasts’ “He The Colossus.” The British quartet’s latest music is an amplified version of experimental pop where the scraped melodic texture and incessant buzz create an undulating ambiance. While the incarnate gist of human vocals is present, the dynamic synthesizers make the words sound more like echoes emulating real voice. Exactly what robot DJs would spin:

“He The Colossus” is from Wild Beasts’ fifth record, Boy King, which came out back in August 2016. Formed back in 2002, Wild Beasts gained wide acclaim for their second album, Two Dancers, and have been rocking the indie scene since. As of now, Wild Beasts have show dates coming up:

Europe 2017 tour

4/29 – Live At Leeds 2017 (Leeds, UK)

4/30 – Festevol Gardens 2017 (Liverpool, UK)

5/31-6/4 – Primavera Sound Fest (Barcelona, Spain)
