Drop everything and go holla at Daily Holla’s new video, “Waves,” featuring J Fitz. Sending bone-fizzying vibrations, “Waves” feels like an electronic sonic maze where the hypnotic croons of J Fitz leads you to different corners of explosive climaxes. The stunning visuals and rich layers of beats make the video an intensely aesthetic experience from 0 to 4:43. The video provides us a jaw dropping scope into all the blood and sweat that a ballerina endures behind the scenes. Let’s dance:
“‘Waves’ was the first track I wrote off what eventually became the second Daily Holla EP. I started writing the song back in mid 2015. It all started with a plastic sounding arp loop, which was initially meant to be a placeholder, but it’s still there! I completely forgot about replacing it later on and I both love that silly mistake and hate it.” shared the Aussie producer Daily Holla.
By collaborating with the newcomer J Fitz, Daily Holla was able to marry his passion for film (he majored film at university) and music in “Waves.” If there were any way to describe Holla’s music in one word it would be outré. The young producer is not afraid to bring in unorthodox elements into the table while delivering the same type of mainstream hook that sinks into your mind. His past video “Yolngu” featured the Aboriginal community in the Arnhem Land (Northern Territory of Australia). “Waves” is from Daily Holla’s upcoming EP, which will be out soon. Go holla at him on Facebook and Twitter.
