LA-based disco/funk master, Jason Gaffner, took us into the soulful trance of late night rooftop party with his banger “Phantom” last month. Now, Keljet takes the same trance but burns the soul elements by igniting it with dance-inducing thumpers, making it the perfect butt-shaker for your next beach party. Stream below:
Comprised of Koen Mestrum and Teun Pranger, Keljet is a Dutch duo who have been hybridizing dance, pop, and indie with a slight bit of electropical flex. Their “Love Lost” remix went viral on YouTube, which lead them to producing their own original track, “Love of a Life” featuring X Ambassadors. Since then, they’ve been picked up by other artists like Kygo, Goldroom, and Zimmer. Other artists such as Tegan & Sara and Don Diablo have asked for remixes.
By merely listening, you wouldn’t have guessed that they were from the Netherlands – their sound injects the same kind of Made-In-LA, sun-kissed drunkenness that you would expect from dudes like Jason Gaffner. Speaking of which, “Phantom” is from Jason Gaffner’s debut EP, Journeys, which includes other bangers including “Feel Something,” “Murder In The First Degree” and “When The Sun Goes Down.” You can find him on Facebook and Instagram. Keljet can also be found on Facebook and Instagram.
