Woods’ “Love Is Love” Will Send You To A Diorama Of Jazz, Psychedelia, And Rock Where Everything Can Coexist

Reflection on love.

Brooklyn folk rockers, Woods, shared their latest single “Love Is Love” from their upcoming tenth record with the same title, which will be out soon. The track slips out the old (but never expired) question of “What is love?” where you can feel the desperation, hope, and existential burden that those three words impose. Heightening the sonic richness with saxophone interludes, Woods leap from genre to genre by ambitiously playing with three genres. “Love Is Love” and play is play:

“Love is Love was written and recorded in the two months immediately following the election, but it’s not a record borne entirely of angry, knee-jerk reaction to what America is becoming. Instead, it’s a meditation on love, and on what life means now.” shared the band.

Founded in 2005, Woods have already engraved their name in the folk rock scene with nine records. Their tenth record, Love Is Love, will be released under their own label Woodsist on April 21st. They will start touring soon:
