Real Estate’s New Video “Stained Glass” Will Actually Teach You How To Play The Song

The only how-to tutorial you need to watch.

New Jersey alternative rockers, Real Estate, do not only want you to memorize the lyrics for their new single “Stained Glass” – they want you to actually learn it. Yep. Guitars, bass, piano, everything. Surely it looks all hip and cute, but this is a subliminal message (or passive aggressive way) to tell you to learn every single note. You don’t simply listen to “Stained Glass” – you become “Stained Glass”

Aside from our personal conspiracy theory, “Stained Glass” is a string-heavy, chill-on ambient track where the lilting keyboard taps and cushioning choruses hitch you to the rhythmic waves. The sonic buzz only crop up in some instances, but it remains mostly the same and lingers with you even after the song ends. “Stained Glass” is from their upcoming fourth album, In Mind, which will be out on March 17.

Formed back in 2009, Real Estate gained wide acclaim for their self-titled studio album and have toured around the country and performed at major festivals. They’re on tour now:
