Cende’s “What I Want” Is The Alternative Motherrocker That Will Punk Your Ears

Alternative punk-rock quartet, Cende, takes us into a fuzzy sonicsphere fueled by gleaming chords and percussive slides in their new single “What I Want” featuring the vocals of Greta Klein (Frankie Cosmos). Despite the rapid strums, it has a relaxed buildup to it that emits a buoyant tension – you are fueled by the string strikes yet the subtly hazy ambiance keep you afloat in the midpoint between chill and thrill. “What I Want” is from Cende’s upcoming record #1 Hit Single, which will be out on May 26. The band formed back in 2013 and started gaining buzz after self-releasing their debut EP in 2015. With the new record, Cende was able to experiment with richer composition and ambitious production, yielding motherrocker pieces.
