Hailing all the way from Toronto, The Wooden Sky hit the stages of The Echoplex (Los Angeles) as part of their North American tour. The indie folk trio has recently released their new LP, Swimming in Strange Waters, which is a 9-track narrative and reflection of the frontman Gavin Gardiner’s personal battle with past trauma. You can stream the beauty below:

Onstage, The Wooden Sky radiate a soothing demeanor that feels like you’re being sedated – it’s still a rock show, but also feels like you’re chilling with them. Within the first three minutes of their performance, you forget about the pain in your legs, the Radiohead aficionado behind you who won’t stop yapping about “Creep”, and the butt-freezing AC.
