Hicari Takes Us Into The Sumo Wrestling Arena In “Stellar”

Never judge a book by its cover…or you might end up in the wrestling arena.

British pop quintet, Hicari, takes us into the sumo wrestling arena in their new video “Stellar” where we see two douchelords end up in a sumo wrestling arena after making fun of a woman. Disclaimer: she kicks their ass. The storyline is playful and the color-popping, shiny aesthetics adds a level of fierceness to it. Rolling on a frizzy cadence of invigorating beats, “Stellar” is an immediate mood-lifter that you’ll be screaming your lungs out. Now, let’s watch the video and memorize the lyrics by heart:

Originally from Liverpool, Hicari means “light” in Japanese and are comprised of multicultural members including Shayaan Oshidar (vocals), Ryan Bickley (vocals), Tatsu Saiki (guitar & keyboard), Paddy Morrison (bass) and Will Brown (drums). They have already garnered attention from press and gained comparison to the likes of CHVRCHES, The 1975, and St. Lucia. As of now, they have show dates coming up:

6/1 – Shipping Forecast Supporting First Hate (Liverpool, UK)

6/15 – Notting Hill Arts Club (London, UK)

6/23 – Chester Live Festival (Chester, UK)

7/23 – Liverpool International Music Festival (Liverpool, UK)
