Summer is the best/worst time for music aficionados – on one hand, we get flooded with the ritual party-friendly “bangers” that invade the radio charts as well as our playlist. But on the other hand, we feel like we’re being force-fed a consistent diet of similar pop music. Sometimes, for the sake of our sanity, it’s important to set aside those lamestream chart-toppers and settle for a complex, nu-disco/electrowave to not lose hope. Ideomotor’s “Do It Again” delivers that missing piece – it’s a cocktail of underground disco, 80s flair, and Depeche Mode-touch that exudes a dark charm. Stream below:
“Do It Again is the first track from our upcoming album release. We never doubted the power in this song, which also made it hard to let go until we agreed we’ve made it the best it can be. The song is about looking back, but for us it’s paving the way to the only possible future. We would do it again – over and over. Who knows, it might work for you too” shared Ideomotor.
Formed back in 2014, the Finish indietronic duo has taken electropop elements from 80s and 90s that have earned them comparisons to Depeche Mode. They released their EP, For A Moment We Are Strangers, in 2015 and have already gained wide acclaim from the European indietronic scene. As of now, you can follow the duo on Facebook and Instagram.
