Royal Blood’s second record How Did We Get So Dark? has been out since June 16 for the world to dose and it’s already a chart-topper. It’s No. 1 in the UK Albums and Rock & Metal Albums charts, No. 1 in Scottish Albums charts, No. 6 in American Billboard’s Top Rock Albums category, and No. 8 in Canadian Billboard’s Albums category (but who cares about Canada? Just kidding). Listen aspiring chart-toppers, it takes great minds (and lots of caffeine) to make hit records so if you’re looking into a producer, keep an eye on Jolyon Thomas. The British producer has been working with Royal Blood’s second album from late 2016 to early 2017, helping them build a rock record that is spreading like a viral plague. If you haven’t listened to any of the songs yet, listen below:

Thomas is no amateur – he has produced, mixed, engineered, written, and even played with big names like U2, Slaves, M83, Maps, Daughter, British Sea Power, Jesus, Bay Rays, and many more that we don’t feel like typing. At only 30 years old, he has already worked on two Mercury Award Nominated albums. As of now, he is working on producing U2’s upcoming record Songs Of Experience. To keep up with his work, studio life, and compliment those beautiful eyebrows, make sure to follow him via Twitter and Instagram.
