Jamiroquai’s “Superfresh” Is What AI-Infused Disco Looks Like

Whenever we talk about AI, we tend to focus on the worse: machines taking over, humans becoming exiled, and other mainstream apocalypse that Hollywood has sold us. Jamiroquai takes a different approach in his new music video “Superfresh” – instead of focusing on how AI can massacre us, he gives us a glimpse on how AI can revamp the dancefloor. With soulful and retro disco undertones that are coated with the glossy hookiness of synthpop, “Superfresh” takes us into a futuristic dance that brings together the peaking vulnerability and exhilaration we feel in a club at midnight. “Superfresh” is from Jamiroquai’s latest record Automation, which was released back in March 31st of this year. Jamiroquai, formed back in 1992, is a British funk/acid band that became widely known for their hit, Grammy-winning single “Virtual Insanity.” As of now they are on tour:
