UK model/actress/songstress Shystie explores the underground world of human trafficking in her new video “Wake Up.” It’s a heavy topic, but Shystie manages to shed light into the issue in a more digestible and reflective format without losing the gravity of it. The use of teal and red visuals play well in building a suspenseful atmosphere where our eyes get glued to Shystie’s every movement. The song, produced by Cyantific, has an infusion of electropical elements where the judicious arrangements of samples and synths yield an aerated beat structure. Stream below:
“Wake Up” is based on human trafficking, a modern issue that Shystie feels strongly about and is trying to raise awareness.
