Aussie electro artist/producer, The Kite String Tangle, debuted his self-titled record and goes beyond than simple electronica – you can tell that he has mastered the art of alchemizing ambient, house, and disco into one vivid 11-track odyssey. His uncanny talent to sculpt rhythms that mirror emotions adds grace to the melodic intensity. In every track, TKST takes us to the existential arena where we vicariously wrestle with hope, love, betrayals, and roles. Lyrically, there is raw honesty present when you hear TKST curse with idiomatic phrases such as “If we both stop fucking around, we’ll be alright” in “Beneath the Canopy.” As you delve into the record, you notice that he is actually sketching out intimate narratives and not merely focusing on delivering eargasms (which flow naturally), making his album more of a journey rather than a list of party bangers. “It’s a dynamic album that I hope shows many sides to the music I make and what I’m tyring to do with The Kite String Tangle, which is essentially to reach people and hopefully provide a soundtrack for their own existential crisis,” he shared.
