Alternative rock band from Nashville, Welles, invaded the stages of The Wiltern (Los Angeles) last night and kicked off our night with their visceral zeal. Originally from Arkansas, Welles started out when the frontman Jehsea Wells decided to move to Nashville to pursue his music. He quickly gained the media attention and festival spots for his uncanny way of blending psychedelic strings with rock and other mélange of genres. Welles released their debut EP, Codeine, earlier this year and has already earned spots at SXSW, Gov Ball, Bonnaroo, and ACL.
