Poptress/producer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter…basically music guru, Rider, sheds light to both the idyllic and unglamorous sides of love in her new video “A Little Light.” We see the artist in a relationship that seems to only exist in extreme states: one moment you see the two lovers living in a dream world whereas the next you see them yelling at each other. With her mesmerizing vocals, Rider immediately locks you down into the buoyant upbeats where she admits her flaws, lacerates the image of perfect romance, and still longs for the presence of her lover. It’s kind of like “it’s not you, it’s me…but still stay with me” theme. Hit play below:

Aside from being a vocal powerhouse, Rider is a polymath who writes all of her lyrics, produces her songs, and plays all the instruments in her work. She has already performed in the opening and closing ceremony of London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, and other major events. As of now, she has show dates coming up:

9/19 – The Water Rats (London, UK)

10/30 – The Camden Assembly (Camden, UK)
