UK artist, Angus Powell, takes us into a broody Zen-like mode with his single “Shiver” where he instrumentally deploys exquisite minimalism and places us under the spell of his glimmering vocals. The chords squeak with subtle eeriness that makes “Shiver” slightly haunting and chilling. Powell’s croons reels and shimmers, evoking a sidereal aura around his lyrics that take you into an ambient meditation. Stream below:

Born in UK but raised in Wales, Angus Powell became widely known for his song “Monsters”, which got featured in radio stations (KCRW), TV shows (Elementary, Bones, Kingdom, Finding Carter), and films (Go North, 100 Streets). “Shiver” is from Powell’s debut album Before The Grey, which he worked with producer Paul Moessl and Pink Floyd’s engineer Andy Jackson to produce it. The new record will be out on September 29th via Halogen Music.
