Cones Captures Medieval Seduction In Their New Groove “Whatever You’re Into”

This song goes well with a bottle of Victoria.

If there is anything that Cones enjoys doing is toying with our minds by jettisoning us outside the space-time continuum with their beats. The duo’s latest single, “Whatever You’re Into,” suspends you into the hive of psyche and dream pop, where both elements dissolve into a heavenly groove. “So medieval the way you lie in bed / Bottle of Victoria by your head / (On and on) to satisfy / (On and on) now where was I?” chants Cones. The vocals’ fuzzy aura yield a cozy hypnotic effect that makes you want to light out a candle and allow the aromas fill the air. And as you watch the fire flicker, you can’t help but indulge in the intimacy that blooms between you and the song. Yes, we are high:

Cones is comprised of siblings Jonathan and Michael Rosen, who have formerly played in Eleanor Friedberger’s band. Aside from music, Jonathan is an acclaimed animator who has given life to Bob the Hippie and created videos for other artists including Eleanor Friedberger, Toro Y Moi, and Delicate Steve. Michael, who also played with Chris Cohen, learned to play the piano at the age of 16 and is now the band’s keyboardist. They are currently on tour, so go catch them live:
