Swedish poptress, Frida Sundemo, takes us flying into a striking synthpop arena in her new single “Gold” – a grand-sized piece that slides into your system and gradually explodes in euphoria. The intensity of “Gold” is theatrical to say the least; Frida triggers your goosebumps with her silvery vocals and aerated atmosphere that takes you on an intense, retrospective space. With “Gold,” Frida creates a celestial aura out of music that makes the listener feel like she/he is part of a cathartic momentum of a film…or a giant cosmic orchestra. Stream below:
“‘Gold’ is about being brave and embracing the beauty of life. It’s about having the courage to risk something that’s ”alright” for the chances of getting something you really dream about.” shared Frida.
The track is from her upcoming record, Flashbacks & Futures, which will be out on October 6th via the leading Scandinavian record Cosmos Music. Frida is already well-known in both the music and film world. She debuted her album Dear, Let It Out in Japan back in 2010, which included her lead single “Towers” that peaked No. 1 on radio. She also played the leading role in John Niven’s Kill Your Friends, alongside Nicholas Hoult and James Corden. As of now, no tour dates have been disclosed yet.
