For the Memellennial generation.

If you were born in the 90s, you were probably raised by memes that taught you about first world problems and how sad Keanu is outside the Matrix. Shamir pays homage to this cultural gem in his video “90’s Kids” where he shuffles through popular memes around the Internet. But he adds his own spark into them by giving them life; think of him as the fairy cybermother who smoked pot and decided to gift them with souls…well, kinda. Watch below:

“90’s Kids” is from Shamri’s upcoming album Revelations, which will be out on November 3rd via Father/Daughter Records. Originally from Las Vegas, Shamir gained commercial success for his song “On The Regular” from his 2014 EP Northtown. Since then, he has built a solid fanbase and self-released his own record, Hope, which became a critical hit. As of now, Shamir hasn’t shared any tour dates yet.
