London songstress WILDES takes us into the haunting aesthetics of ambient pop in her new single “Ghost.” Built on a fluid synths and swishing echoes, “Ghost” exudes a celestial air that is alarmingly paranormal and gorgeous at the same time. WILDES takes you deep into the waters of soulful ambience where she takes you swimming through the thoughts, realizations, and emotions that come with past relationships. Stream below:

“It’s a song about the effects a past lover has on our future selves. Their words haunt us, and we long for their memories to remain after they’ve gone. Even the smallest moment with them can shape who we become,” shared the songstress.

“Ghost” is the third release of her upcoming debut EP, which will be out via Hometown Records. Listing Cat Power and Carole King as one of her influences, WILDES has been making buzz for her uncanny otherworldly sound she’s been bringing to ambient pop.
