Canadian experimental/soul artist, Hill, may have written a BDSM song titled “On Camera” but there is nothing rated R about its video – in fact it is rated ART. Directed by Caitlin Cronenberg, “On Camera” is a semi-stop motion video comprised of different photos of Hill where you see how different lightning effects bring life to the still photos. The smoky vibe that comes out of the outré arrangements of “On Camera” wraps you with a warm, steaminess that is reflective and exquisite at the same time. Stream below:

“The song is about BDSM, essentially. From the perspective of the submissive – it’s about power being willfully surrendered. It was written over a trap beat but with all the experimental soul elements as an overlay” shared Hill.

“On Camera” is from Hill’s upcoming album Give It A Rest, which will be out in 2018 and has already made buzz on KCRW station in LA with its title track. As of now, Hill has a show date coming up:

10/6 – The Needle Vinyl Tavern (Edmonton, AB, Canada)
