Millie Turner has a hauntingly hypnotic voice that feels like Xanax mixed with addictive for your ears – her single “Eyes On You” breathes into your ears naturally and finds the sweet spot between smooth and edgy. The 17-year-old has a gauze-like voice that feels soft and rough at the same time. The pulsing beats that are tinted with moodiness create a pensive atmosphere where Millie portrays a rare, authentic connection that we experience with very few people. Shot in one-cam video, the video feels like a one-on-one interaction with Millie:
“Like a lot of songs, it can mean lots of different things, but for me it speaks of people, and about being able to be with someone in a way that isn’t comfortable or pretty but human and honest and in some way more real,” shared the songstress.
“Eyes On You” is actually a poem that Millie wrote a year ago in Yorkshire. With the help of producer David Turley – who also helped her produce her debut single “Underwater” – Millie was able to turn the poem into her second, ever released single. While she hasn’t shared much about her in social media, stay tuned for more bangers from the mysterious songstress in the future.
