You know winter’s coming when you listen to Woodes’ “Dots” – a theatrical electro ballad that feels like you’re walking into a hailstorm of synths. With its grand-sized tone and echoing choruses, “Dots” taps into the depth and strength of human connection that can be found anywhere. Despite the bone-chilling and expansive imageries that “Dots” evokes, it is a warm piece that reminds us of the underestimated power of human bond. Play below:

“I wrote this on my first writing week overseas. I was in and out of sessions with new writers and it was a new world to me, working with strangers in other countries.” explained Woodes, “When I listen to ‘Dots’ I see different terrains, different parts of the world. No matter where I am I find little sparks from human connections and landscapes. No matter where I travel to I’m still connected to home.”

“Dots” is the follow up of Woodes previous single “Run For It,” which has accumulated 500k streams on Spotify. Her 2016 self-titled debut EP has already accumulated 3 million streams and topped iTunes charts. As of now the Aussie artist has show dates coming up:

3/2 – Leadbelly (Newtown, Australia)

3/3 – The Toff (Melbourne, Australia)

3/10 – Black Bear Lodge (Fortitude Valley, Australia)
