Meet Giant Rooks: German Band Who Polishes Gritty, Raw Pop

Making waves in the German indie pop scene.

Hailing from Germany, Giant Rooks is a quintet indie pop band that grinds and polishes raw pop with the edgy ambience of rock. Their beats are trimmed with roughness to it whereas the rhythmic core of their sound is dreamy and introspective. Founded in 2014, Giant Rooks debuted their EP The Times Are Bursting the Lines in 2015 and received critical acclaim for it. They’ve played in major festivals and toured with other bands including The Temper Trap, Razz, and Kraftklub. Their latest EP, New Estate, was released back in January 20, 2017 via Haldern Pop Recordings. For 2018, Giant Rooks will embark on their headline tour across Europe so see them live:
