Spaghetti West meets sitcom.

In what looks like 90s homemade video quality, Prism Tats’ “Daggers” is a humorous and sharp video that depicts a peculiar obsession that Garett van der Spek (the dude behind Prism Tats fyi) brother has: love for knives. It is a psych-infused, post punk that washes your ears as Prism Tats chants about believing in yourself. The song on its own is introspective, but paired with the video it becomes a dark comedy. As you watch Garett’s brother practice his knife throws, you can’t help but feel like you’re watching a crossover between Spaghetti Western and sitcom. Watch below:

“Daggers” is from Prism Tat’s upcoming record Mamba, which will be out on March 2. Originally from South Africa but now based in LA, Prism Tats has played in various bands before embarking on his solo journey. He debuted his self-titled record in 2016 and has toured across the US with his band. As of now, he hasn’t announced new tour dates.
