Montreal synthpop duo Young Galaxy helps us remove all the toxicity our minds absorb while being caged in hopeless capitalism and lonely suburbia with their new single “Under My Wing.” Toying with samples and hazy vocals, Young Galaxy dissects the uplifting desire for freedom that lies beneath melancholia. The dripping synths build a sense of intimacy that lets you do a self-diagnosis of your own spirit. Dive in:

In regards to the new single, the duo explained, “it’s a song that sleeps during the day and walks the empty streets at night. It’s about the failure of capitalism, the isolation of suburbia, and the drive to discover sensuality, connection, and a spark of life in the face of despair.”

“Under My Wing” is from Young Galaxy’s upcoming album, Down Time, which will be out on April 6th. The duo will also start hitting the road on April:
