California quintet Dirty Heads capture the nostalgia and homesickness we experience while pursuing our dreams/careers/etc. in their new single “Celebrate” featuring The Unlikely Candidates. Combining elements of blues, reggae, pop, and rock, “Celebrate” is a rich midtempo track where the piano taps and rap choruses capture the emotional weight of being away from our loved ones. “We been gone when family died” chants The Unlikely Candidates. While lyrically the song is about being away on tour and missing family/friends, “Celebrate” is a track that anyone who had to leave their loved ones behind can relate and find comfort. Directed by Wayne Isham (Metallica, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson), the video features the band performing while their family pictures and home videos are projected around them. Watch below:

“It’s a look inside a band and touring as well as the journey you take to make it. We’re not bitching about anything, but you’re on the road and you miss your family. We all started doing this a while ago. None of us were married at the time. None of us had kids. Now it’s all different.” shared Dirty Heads’ vocalist/guitarist Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell.

“Celebrate” is already the #1 most added at Alternative Radio and is the follow up of their hit summer single “Vacation.” Both tracks are from their new record SWIM TEAM, which was released back in October 13, 2017. Comprised of Jared “Dirty J” Watson (vocals), Duddy B (vocals/guitar), Jon Olazabal (percussion), Matt Ochoa (drums), and David Floral (bass), Dirty Heads formed back in 2003 and gained international success with their 2008 debut album, Any Point In A Storm, which included the RIAA gold-certified single “Lay Me Down.” Since then the band has gone on topping charts and racking millions of streams. As of now, the band is currently on tour:

1/19 – Mercury Ballroom (Louisville, KY, USA)

1/20 – Egyptian Room at Old National Centre (Indianapolis, IN, USA)

1/21 – 20 Monroe Live (Grand Rapids, MI, USA)
