Aussie songstress Merpire lets us relive the momentary euphoria of long-lasting short kisses in her new single “Hauntways.” Coated with breathy nocturnal synths that exhale 80s air, “Hauntways” conveys a suspenseful atmosphere where Merpire’s crispy vocals box you in the skin-tingling rushing moment we experience during physical intimacy. “‘Hauntways’ is about a fleeting kiss. I tried writing about it now and then but it wasn’t until I stood in the very spot where it happened in my hallway that this song finally came out.” shared Merpire.
