London-based songstress Nilüfer Yanya teaches us how to give your ex the middle finger with grace in her new single “Thanks 4 Nothing.” Using her arsenal of jazz instruments and smoky pop riffs, Nilüfer constructs the sweetest revenge track where she disses and dismisses an old lover who is trying to crawl back into her life like an unwelcoming parasite. The video, directed by Energy Force, is a haunting dark comedy of being in a cult that you want to leave – similar to the concept of messy relationshits. Watch below:

“Thanks 4 Nothing” is the follow up of Nilüfer’s widely acclaimed single “Baby Luv,” which was released last year. Nilüfer, who was born to Turkish and Bajan-Irish parents, grew up listening to jazz and classical music. She picked up the piano at the age of six and gradually transitioned to guitar. Nilüfer has been making a huge buzz across radio stations and press in the UK with “Baby Luv” last year. While she hasn’t announced any upcoming record plans yet, she has recently unveiled her spring/summer tour dates. Catch her live:
