Los Angeles quartet Arms Akimbo (what a cool name) reflects on the #1 dilemma that most of us tend to half-assedly succeed at in their new single “Seven Mirrors.” And by dilemma we mean juggling love and lust. Whether that is living in your own starry-eyed imagination or pursuing someone who’s already taken, “Seven Mirrors” feels like a series of echoes – or even listicle – about every ‘romantic’ pursuits you’ve been guilty of that lead to unwanted shituations. The gusting vocals and airy synths all throb like a clueless heart that is drunk with the blissful euphoria of making bad decisions:

Comprised of college buddies Peter Schrupp, Chris Kalil, Colin Boppell and Mathew Sutton, Arms Akimbo quickly gained success with their debut EP Vignettes. They’ve opened for other bands such as Walk The Moon, The Animals, The Muffs and Colleen Green. You probably heard of their Spotify viral single “Michigan,” which broke over a million streams and landed on North America’s viral charts. “Seven Mirrors” is from their upcoming sophomore EP, The Wrong Kind of Dance Party, which will be out on February 23rd. If you live in LA, make sure to attend their EP launch party:
