Australian duo Close Counters is bringing back the disco mojo from the 70s with “Soulacoasta” – a groovy funky piece that is filled with old school soul vibes. The video follows a man who seems to be living it up in his own world before reality starts sinking in. “Soulacoasta” feels like a rollercoaster of soul and multiple decades that take you on a boogie ride. Watch below:

“The video is about a middle-aged man living an unbelievably joyful life. Throughout a day, his perception of reality is challenged and his delusions begin to reveal themselves,” shared Close Counters.

“Soulacoasta” is from the duo’s latest mixtape, which you can stream below:

Comprised of Finn Rees and Alan McConnell, Close Counters formed back in 2013 and have toured across Australia and various music festivals. As of now, the duo has a show coming up:

2/24 – The Goods Shed (Hobart, TAS, Australia)
