Mashup Monday: Pentatonix’ “New Rules x Are You That Somebody?”

A cappella takeover of Dua Lipa & Aaliyah

Grammy-winning a cappella quintet, Pentatonix, bring their swag to Dau Lipa’s “New Rules” and Aaliyah’s “Are You That Somebody” in this latest mashup. Bringing their minimalistic upbeat air, Pentatonix nail the hook of both tracks but also add their own rhythmic substance to it. Enjoy below:

 

Pentatonix is an a cappella group that formed in Texas back in 2011 and has sold more than 6.5 million albums, topped Billboard charts, headlined sold-out shows, and featured in films like Pitch Perfect 2. “New Rules x Are You That Somebody?” is from their upcoming album PTX Presents: Top Pop, Vol. I, which will be out on April 13. They will start their tour in July:
