Brazilian Girls Bring 40s Ballroom Dance Vibes With “Balla Balla”

World off, dance on.

Brazilian Girls are bringing back the vintage 1940s ballroom dance air with their new single “Balla Balla.” It’s the perfect track to lose yourself into – the battering beats and flowy interludes of frontwoman Sabina Sciubba capture the pristine, blissful rush we get from dancing. Coated with electronic layers, “Balla Balla” is an anachronistic ballroom banger:

The track is from their upcoming sophomore album Let’s Make Love, which will be out on April 13. Produced by their longtime collaborator Frederik Ruben, it is also the first album since their 2008 Grammy-nominated New York City. The quartet is set to kick off their US tour in May:

5/5 – Music Hall of Williamsburg (Brooklyn, NY, USA)

5/6 – Brighton Music Hall (Boston, MA, USA)

5/9 – Bluebird Theater (Denver, CO, USA)

5/11 – August Hall (San Francisco, CA, USA)

5/12 – El Rey Theater (Los Angeles, CA, USA)
