Fleet Foxes Share Vertical Video “If You Need To, Keep Time On Me”

American indie folk band Fleet Foxes has shared a vertical video for “If You Need To, Keep Time On Me.” Aesthetics aside, this is a genius marketing move – it’s mobile friendly and you can easily play it on your Spotify app. You can’t play it via the web version of Spotify though. Directed by David Hession and Rosie Holtom, “If You Need To, Keep Time On Me” is from Fleet Foxes’ widely acclaimed record Crack-Up, which they released back in June 2017. Watch the video here.

“The vertical video format provided an opportunity to make a compositionally different visual for ‘If You Need To, Keep Time On Me,’’ shared Director and Animator David Hession. “Taking advantage of the aspect ratio. This lent itself to the constantly evolving, impossible landscape, with each scene an expression of time passing and how time is measured through nature, as majestically delicate as the song itself.”
