Florida six-piece act The Hip Abduction covers the broken matters of the heart in their new alternative electropical single “Come On Get Up.” Produced by Kenny Carkeet (formerly of AWOLNATION), “Come On Get Up” is a wholehearted single that juggles between the pain and guilt while holding us with its therapeutic hooks. It’s a track that provides a two-way perspective into a breakup where The Hip Abduction draws from both sides of emotions:

“At some point in life, there’s a good chance you will get your heart broken and or break the heart of someone you love. Either way, the after effects can tear you down to your core. This song is about going thru that. The song is a wish for both sides. The process of turning grief into catharsis by returning to the earth to find yourself.” explained vocalist David New

Founded in 2010, The Hip Abduction are David, Chris Powers (bass), Dave Johnson (bari sax, tenor sax), Sean Fote (keyboard), Matt Poynter (drums, vocals), and John Holt III (kamalngoni, vocals, guitar). They have tour dates coming up:
