Jealousy Is Emotional Self-Cannibalism In The King’s Parade’s “The Look”

UK quartet The King’s Parade takes us into a smooth, unwinding momentum with their new single “The Look.” Melodically, the song lifts you up with its guitar strings and swagy riffs that place you at the cusp between chill and thrill. The lyrics, however, is a whole different story – “The Look” taps into jealousy and all the emotional baggage that comes with it:

“‘The Look’ is about jealousy and everything that comes along with it. It can start as a seed of doubt in your mind, but suddenly you find your head’s in the clouds, dreaming up the most unlikely situations. The song follows someone going through those emotions and giving in to those delusions; so much so that reality is out of sight.” shared frontman Olly Corpe.
