Changes & sanity are seasonal

Just accept it – everyone’s a garage sale in his or her own way. Your sanity fluctuates depending on the life changes you’re going through and you need to declutter whatever extra baggage you’ve hoarded every season. Sons Of An Illustrious Father depicts our seasonal breakdowns in their new video “When Things Fall Apart” where they capture the emotional battle through stunning choreography. The snow and isolation in the woods set the mood for the spiritual (and often times psychological) death we need to experience in order to shed what no longer serves us and move on to the next cycle of our lives:

“‘When Things Fall Apart’ was written for a beloved member of the community going through a painful but fruitful transition. Taking cues from the book by the same name by Pema Chodron, it’s about embracing the mess that is change, allowing oneself to face fear and move through it and on to the next stage.” explained Lilah.

Directed by Rafe Scobey-Thal (who also directed “Extraordinary Rendition”) , “When Things Fall Apart” was choreographed by Marta Miller (Ezra’s mom) and features modern dancer Bobbi Jene Smith. The track is from the trio’s upcoming new album, Deus Sex Machina: Or, Moving Slowly Beyond Nikola Tesla, which will be out on June 1st. They will also start touring in June:
