Parisian artist Thincœur teams up with his fellow rapper Fang The Great in his new single “Farewell” – a Breakfast At Tiffany’s-inspired trip hop piece that explores the different facets of human bond and the inescapable loneliness. Directed by Randolph Lungela, the video shows a female protagonist who is trying to cope with the loss of a loved one through substances and fragmented memories:
In regards to the track, Thincœur explained that it “relates to partings, starting with Fang The Great’s positive outlook when he raps about distance making the heart grow fonder.”
“Farewell” is from Thincœur’s upcoming album 7 Layers of Love, which was largely inspired by the different cultural influences from cities including his hometown Paris, New York and Reykjavik. No release dates have been announced yet.
