NYC duo Gilligan Moss is getting ready to polish our ears with summer-ready jams by releasing their latest groovy single “Want U So Bad.” Exuding the nocturnal coolness of the dancefloor and the sunny buoyant air, the crispy female vocals floats over the production as she chants about her lust over the building dance beat. “Want U So Bad” is dance music, but the duo makes subtle twists to reinvigorate its rhythms and polishes it with a tongue-in-cheek edge:

“Want U So Bad” is from the duo’s upcoming EP What Happened, which will be out on Auguts 24th via AMF Records. In regards to their upcoming EP, the duo shared, “What we’re doing with the project is to look to the capital C – cool club music, – realm but also to what’s happening on the radio, what’s happening in pop,” explains Evan, citing Jamie xx as an influence. “It’s about finding ways to bring worlds together and make music that can exist in the club, and at home, while still being informed by pop songcraft. Fusing those things together is what our ultimate goal is on this EP.”

Gilligan Moss also has show dates coming up this fall:
