Mexican rock quartet Rey Pila is coming to Echoplex on May 26th and if you are into rock, new wave, or synthrock, then this is the band that you want to party your Saturday night with and relisten while you cure your hangover next morning. Formed back in Mexico City in 2010, Rey Pila has recently opened for Depeche Mode’s Global Spirit Tour in Mexico City. Their sound has the classy swag of 80s pop with the electrifying undercurrents of new wave and rock. Check out their latest cover of Siouxie & The Banshees’ “Israel”:

And for originals, listen to their latest EP Wall of Goth, released last year:

For Echoplex, Palm Sprinsteen will be the opening act and doors will open at 8:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now. Also, Rey Pila will be playing other additional shows in New York and San Diego this week:

5/24 – Mercury Lounge (New York, NY, USA)

5/26 – Echoplex (Los Angeles, CA, USA)

5/27 – Blonde Bar (San Diego, CA, USA)
