We can’t thank Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow enough for coining the term ‘conscious uncoupling’ – it has become the Millennial diction for breaking up. And like any ever-changing Millennial couple, Rubblebucket has also gone through such ‘conscious uncoupling’ process that has inspired their upcoming new record Sun Machine. Comprised of Kalmia Traver and Alex Toth, Rubblebuket is coming back with a more reflective and unfiltered album that taps into Kalmia’s diagnosis with ovarian cancer, Alex’ struggles with alcoholism, and their failed attempt at practicing an open relationship. The duo has shared “Fruity,” a bouncy ambient pop that exudes subtle moodiness:

Sun Beam will be out on August 24 via Grand Jury Music. The duo will start touring in late June:

6/23 – Unifier Fest (Tolland, MA, USA)

7/7 – Thompson’s Point (Portland, ME, USA)

8/3 – Paddy’s Beach Club (Westerly, RI, USA)
